What can and cannot go in a Bagster?

A Bagster takes household junk, construction debris and other nonhazardous material. Only about one cubic yard of heavy debris, such as dirt, brick, rock, sod, concrete, sand, asphalt, plaster or stucco, is allowed in a single bag. Bagster's own guidelines generally exclude appliances, electronics, tires, food waste and hazardous waste, and rules can vary by market, so confirm your items with Northland Junk when you order.

  • Allowed: household junk, cleanup debris, remodeling waste
  • Limited: dirt, brick, concrete, sod and other heavy debris (about 1 cubic yard)
  • Not allowed: appliances, electronics, tires, food waste, hazardous waste

What if my load is too heavy or too big for a Bagster?

Use our truck instead. One Northland Junk customer had us haul dirt that a Bagster would not take, and we handle other heavy or bulky loads the same way. If you would rather not do the loading at all, our junk removal service sends a crew to lift and haul everything.

Bagster, dumpster rental or junk removal: how do I choose?

Choose a Bagster for a small cleanup you can fill yourself, a dumpster for a big project with lots of debris, and junk removal when you want a crew to do the work.

Bagster Rental and Pickup questions, answered

How much does a Bagster hold?

A Bagster holds 3 cubic yards (606 gallons) of debris and is rated for up to 3,300 pounds. It measures about 8 ft by 4 ft by 2.5 ft. Only about one cubic yard of that can be heavy material like dirt, brick or concrete.

What cannot go in a Bagster?

Bagster's guidelines generally exclude hazardous waste, appliances, electronics, tires and food waste, and cap heavy debris such as dirt, brick and concrete at about one cubic yard. Rules can vary by market, so ask Northland Junk about specific items before you fill the bag.

Is a Bagster cheaper than a dumpster?

For small loads a Bagster is often the cheaper option, since you pay for one bag instead of a large container on your driveway. For big projects a dumpster usually costs less per cubic yard. Call Northland Junk and we will help you pick the right option.

What if I have too much weight for a Bagster?

Northland Junk can haul it with our truck instead. A customer once had us haul dirt that a Bagster would not accept. Tell us what you have, and we will give you a free estimate for a crew to load and haul it.
